Under the patronage and supervision of the Dean of the College, Assistant Professor Sanaa Khudhur Youssef, the Media and Government Communication Division, in cooperation with the Continuing Education Unit at our College, organized on Thursday,

September 25, 2025, a scientific symposium entitled “Financial and Administrative Corruption: Causes and Remedies.”

The symposium was presented by:

  • Asst. Prof. Dr. Yousif Abdulsalam Abdi
  • Asst. Prof. Sameer Hanna Behnam

The event, which was attended by a number of the College’s staff, covered several key topics addressing the concept of financial and administrative corruption, its main causes, and its repercussions on sustainable development. It also reviewed possible solutions and treatments to reduce this phenomenon by enhancing transparency, activating the role of oversight institutions, and promoting a culture of integrity among individuals and within society.

The symposium also witnessed valuable interventions and fruitful discussions from the participants, enriching the subject with practical ideas and recommendations. It emphasized the importance of unifying academic and institutional efforts in combating corruption, which remains a major obstacle to progress and administrative reform.

In conclusion, the participants put forward a set of proposals aimed at consolidating the principles of good governance and honest administration, thereby contributing to building strong institutions capable of meeting challenges.
