Under the auspices of the President of the University of Hamdaniya, Professor Dr. Nashat Mubarak Saliwa, and under the supervision of the Dean of the College of Administration and Economics, the Women’s Affairs Unit—in collaboration with the Human Rights Unit—organized a commemorative event on Wednesday, March 11, 2026, to honor International Women’s Day.
The celebration featured a variety of activities, including a poetry recital by student Ahmed Ali Ahmed and the presentation of an expressive painting depicting the pivotal role of Iraqi women by student Layla Ali Qassim. The event also included a cultural competition and a dedicated “Appreciation Wall” for messages of support, reflecting the status of women and their invaluable contributions to society.
