Brief about the College

The College of Administration and Economics is one of the founding colleges of Al-Hamdaniya University. It was initially established by introducing the Departments of Accounting and Business Administration under the College of Administration and Economics at the University of Mosul, located in Al-Hamdaniya, in 2011.

Following intensive efforts, those in charge managed to transform these two departments into an independent college at the end of 2015, according to the Ministerial Letter No. Q/4/4/4263 on 22/12/2015. This letter included the separation of the Colleges of Education and Administration and Economics from the University of Mosul, making them the first two colleges from which Al-Hamdaniya University was established.

The duration of study at the College is four years, which includes a one-month required summer training period to be completed by the student during the summer break, in addition to the submission of a graduation project.

The College is keen to keep pace with the scientific developments occurring in its specializations, and it prioritizes the recruitment and acquisition of distinguished expertise from both teaching and administrative staff. It seeks to offer its services to the community by supplying its institutions with specialized graduates in the fields of Accounting and Business Administration, taking into consideration the nature and specificity of the location and environment in which the University is situated.

The College looks forward to opening evening studies in the near future. It also aspires to open other departments after studying the community’s need for the type and nature of the specialization, and to launch postgraduate studies in the near future. This is all part of its journey to transform into a distinguished scientific, research, and service edifice that enriches the Iraqi academic landscape, leaving an influential footprint and effect that rivals its counterparts in Iraqi, Arab, and international universities.
