Head of the Department’s Message

The Department of Accounting was established in 2011 as part of the University of Mosul. In 2015, it became an independent department within the College of Administration and Economics at the University of Al-Hamdaniya.

Accounting is considered one of the social sciences; therefore, the department’s mission is to prepare qualified accounting professionals capable of working in both the public and private sectors.

Based on this vision, our department strives, through the efforts of all its members, to achieve excellence in accounting education by developing a generation capable of working effectively in the modern business environment and contributing to institutional development. This is achieved through the adoption of advanced scientific research methods in teaching and the implementation of up-to-date and rigorous academic programs.

Since its establishment, the department has worked diligently to launch its Bachelor’s program, followed by the evening study program, and is currently preparing to open a Master’s program in the near future, God willing.

We aspire to achieve leadership and distinction in building a strong academic and research foundation that serves accounting sciences in the financial, administrative, and cost fields, contributing to the development of society through the preparation of qualified professionals capable of engaging with scientific advancements in accounting.

The department continuously updates its academic plans to align with its goals and maintain its distinguished standing among corresponding departments in other universities.
